This young man was photographed in the drumming tent. He is the subject of my first demo video executed for FabrianoInAcquarello 2020 Online Festival.  Please find the link here:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2estmqkekiY

The drums are set up in a large tent and each group of about 6 or more people sit around their drum and play and sing for the judges. There are legendary drumming groups from across North America and they travel to compete as well as new up and coming younger groups. They also sell their CDs at the Powwows. The music/sound is very primal and you can feel it in your whole body. It is very powerful.

Later on I photographed some dancers performing the Iroquois War Dance, used before battle to stimulate the warriors and also to celebrate victory, and my Drummer was one of them. I assume the Headdress denotes an Iroquoian person, Montreal and Quebec City are in the Iroquoian Nation which include Mohawks.
